EAGLEMOSS BATMOBILES IN NEWSAGENTS NOW

Eaglemoss, the partworks company, have a new line on offer in UK newsagents, the Batman Batmobile collection. I had a look at part 2 yesterday retailing at £5.99. It's the classic Burt Ward Batmobile from the Sixties housed in a cool clear plastic display case about 10 inches long and 5 high. I'd start collecting these beautiful cars if I had the spondoolis. Anyway, for anyone who hasn't seen the UK TV ad, here it is courtesy of You Tube. Holy Bat Wheels!

  2. Picked up the 66 Batmobile. It's a nice model though the wheels don't turn, so it's a display model rather than toy. I did want to run it up and down the dining room table too! The next issue is the Tumbler from the latest Batman movies so I'll probably get that too. But they plan 80 issues (Batmobiles from the comics , tv and movies) and at £9.99 each that's way more than I can afford or have the space for, so I'll probably pick up just the ones that take my eye if I see them in the newsagents or Ebay when the newsagents stop ordering them.

  3. I just found out about these this past week but the Eaglemoss website has the purchasing set up as a subscription and I am not going to subscribe to a line of toys at those prices (the first 'issue' or two are the 'hook' with reduced prices while the remmainder will be at full retail pricing). It's too risky to have ones' money tied up that way. Instead I'll wait for those versions which I don't already have from other makers and get them from either Amazon.com or fleaBay. Does anyone know if all of these have non-functioning wheels?
