A sad day indeed Scoop. I have been watching Sir Patrick's Sky at Night off and on for years. What a great loss but he had a full and interesting life, which touched the hearts and minds of countless stargazers. He takes his place amongst the stars himself now.

ReplyDeleteCouldn't put it better myself, Woodsy. Apart from popularising astronomy with his boundless enthusiasm, he was a great British eccentric.
