Ron's Got It Covered

Some more of Ron Turner's work.

I've picked out some comic covers, again from a little later in his career.

This is one of several covers he did from a second series TV21 were he puts his own distinctive style on the Enterprise.

Next, a copy of Action. Ron did a fair bit for I.P.C. magazines during the seventies and eary eighties.

Not a cover but a revisited strip. Ron drew Rick Random in the fifties and was asked by the editors of 2000AD comic to illustrate a new one in 1979. He did all but the last instalment.

The short lived Speed comic had two Ron Turner strips, Journey to the Stars followed by a motor racing story called Winner. He also illustrated a series of one page articles featuring men and machines connected with speed which I'll will cover at a later date.

  1. Cant get enough Ron, such dynamism and use of light and colour, not to mention his amazing designs. Almost started getting Action purely for the Spinball Wars strip, but stuck to 2000ad, especially when ron started drawing judge dredd and later, rick random again.
