I often wonder why Century 21 Toys never made any Project SWORD accessories. The toy fleet was ripe for a few boxed nic nacs. There are so many they could have made. We would have lapped them up as kids. So what might Century 21 have conjured up? I'll start us off with something to add to the already immense play value of the Zero X. How about a plastic toy control tower and guide rail from the opening sequence of Thunderbirds Are Go. The landing gear could have been attached to the overhead rail and moved into position and the the front cab, the MEV, could drive out of its niche in the tower. The icing on the cake would have been a button on the tower, which enabled you to play the theme tune to Thunderbirds Are Go! Neat! All we need now is a mock up box - anyone? For a taste of how it might work check out the brilliant movie opening itself on You Tube.
Some of the 'real' buildings used in Thunderbirds and the other Gerry Anderson shows are from Triang, Scalextric and model railway buildings - sometimes upside down to disguise them!
