LP COLLECTION: SIX BOX SETS

These pictures of an LP moonlanding boxed set recently appeared on Ebay, which I have re-posted here. The set's model number is 901 E. What really caught my eye were the six pictures on the back of the box showing the whole range, which I've never seen before. Totally reminiscent of both Imperial's Apollo Moon Exploring carded sets and the large boxed Apollo Moon Exploration set, these LP sets presumabley all came in their own window box like this moonlanding set. Does anybody have any of them?

  2. Hi Chi Chi, Wow! You lucky thing! What's it like in the flesh? Any chance you could send me a scan or better photo of the picture at the back showing all the sets? I would post it here on the blog and credit it to you of course. Email me on moonzero@moonzero.freeserve.co.uk

    Thanks! Woodsy

  3. Hi Woodsy! This is the first boxed example I've been lucky enough to win on eBay and the box in pretty sad shape. The cellophane window is lifting, it's only attached alontg the bottom and on one side. The colors seem just a tiny bit faded. As was stated in the description, two of the vehicles are loose while the rest are glued onto the box tray (is the gluing typical of these sets?)
I'd be more than happy to send you a large scan of all sides that have artwork. Be looking for it soon!

  4. Hi Chi Chi, cool. I'm not sure of items were glues to the box bases. I think my esteemed colleagues Wotan, Paul V and Maverick may have an idea if they're reading this.
Do you collect SpaceX/ SWORD/ Apollo Moon Exploring?
Thanks for the promise of the scans.
