Finnish First

With apologies to Arto for the awful pun, here follows a group shot of five X-100 Space Scouts found here in Finland as promised. All transparent in different hues, including one all clear one. Again closed fuselage and no rear wheel. I wonder if these have come up anywhere else?

  1. These are beautiful! looks like a nice touch of marbling in the trans plastic; it's like the jewelery industry decided to make toys for a bit; lucky Fins!

  2. Gorgeous! I'll bet the original toy designers never thought these toyswould get so much mileage.

  3. Cheers guys. Yes CS, the marbling effect is quite distinct but unfortunately does not translate too well using flash.

And yes Ed, those were the copyright-free days of free enterprise! There is a number of toys, mainly of UK origin, that have been cloned here by small plastics companies in the 50's and 60's. And more surprise finds yet to come I'm sure!
