My fave ancient mammal, the Smilodon .V. my fave SWORD toy, Moon Ranger [Nichimo version]. There was something jaw-droppingly ferocious about the Smilodon as I saw paintings of them in books as a kid. There's a great illustration of one on a Mammoth's back in the La Brea Tar Pits but can't think whch book it's in. May even be an Aurora kit!
