NaSa Custom Job

I've been messing about in the Moon Base loft and brought together a few NASA SWORD knockoffs along with a couple of general toys. Putting these all in a box got me thinking about what a NaSa SWORD superfleet set might look like. Here are the results. Purely customised fun!

  1. I like the images but really, really, really hate these slideshow things.

(I also hate that Blogger has broken their commenting setup so that you can't get followup comments on a post via e-mail, but that's a whole other topic.)

  2. Sorry you don't like slideshows Richard. I'm trying out different media to keep the blog interesting.

Can you not get comment email notifications either?

  3. I don't think the blog needs any extra help to stay interesting -- the wonderful content is what keeps us coming back! Don't go changing to try and please me, I love you just the way you are, et cetera and so forth.

If only Blogger would've heeded that same advice! All sorts of things were broken in their latest revision to the comments system -- for instance, they changed the anti-spam captcha images but only made it harder for legitimate commenters to read the things -- and they don't seem disposed to do anything about it.

  4. This is what I was trying to get across the other day. Email notification of comments has been removed. (It's not my settings, Wote).

Such a nuisance. Why must Blogger keep messing about with these things?

  5. P.S.: Turns out there is a workaround to this issue for the blog owner. If you visit the blog settings in the Blogger dashboard, find the section for "Comments" and set the comments form to use the "Embedded" version rather than the little popup window that most people seem to use. Only the embedded form still has the "subscribe to followup comments" thing enabled. Unfortunately this has to be done by blog owners, not visitors, and for all I know this might get broken too at some point in the future. But still, thought it might be of interest...

  6. Phew! Glad you found a solution to that, Richard. A BIG "thank you" from Toad.
