Looking through my portable hard-drive I was chuffed to find that at some point I saved most of the web-page layouts from my first SWORD site before it was wiped by AOL or Yahoo [this is the third]. Now how I did this I just can't remember as they date from the days of floppy disks way back in 1999/ 2000. I seem to remember emailing them from my ancient PC to my laptop years ago after floppies had vanished and home computers only had USB sockets. Amazingly, all the copy pages I have still have working hot links to each other. I remember creating it in something called Dreamweaver I think. Rather basic now, it's been fun seeing it all again. You'll get a something of the flavour of it from these miniature screengrabs. It wasn't on the net that long before being a victim of web slinging!
Dreamweaver - Basic? Don't say that, I'm hoping to start tutorials on Macromedia MX (including Dreamweaver) any day now!!

May not have been called dreamweaver then Mav. My memory stick is playing up!
ReplyDeleteWow! How wonderful to get this glimpse into the past.
ReplyDeleteBut why did AOL (or whoever) wipe it?
