  1. I don't think it would fit comfortably in any of them. But to avoid being a party pooper, let's try fitting it into ... say ... UFO ...

Somewhere on the border between Yorkshire and Lancashire is a toy-factory. Among other fantastical toys, it produces the Project S.W.O.R.D. range. All these, including the Moonbase set, are on display in a large, brightly lit showroom.

But of course, all this is a front. In reality, this factory-marketing company is t'Northern branch of S.H.A.D.O. and beneath the injection-moulding machines lies a labyrinthine complex dedicated to protecting Earth from invading aliens.

The space toys serve both to persuade the populace that alien invasion is a kids-game, and as a source of recruitment from those children who are inspired by the toys to dream of higher things.

No .... I'm not convinced either. (laughs)

  2. Project SWORD would have made a great disaster movie like When Worlds Collide or They should have used it in Thunderbird 6 to give that film some much needed pazazz instead of that silly biplane at the end!

  4. I was thinking Fireball XL5, myself. That show seems to fit best with Project SWORD's themes of space exploration and adventure.
