I have just finished scratchbuilding a studio scale SHADO mobile from UFO. It is built onto the wheels and tracks of the Tiger Joe tank. The body is made from plywood, plastic and car body filler! Hope you like it.
Wow. Excellent model. Wish I had the skills and patience. Well done. Any shots of it under construction? I've always wondered how to make models with car filler. Which filler? Lots of filing and rasps? Have to wear a mask?
I haven't got any blueprints for sale, sorry, but if you look for the UFO special edition of the magazine 'Sci Fi and Fantasy Models', that contains photo blueprints of the original prop. Also one edition of 'S.I.G.' magazine had blueprints in it but I can't remember which one, sorry.
Excellent work.

ReplyDeleteamazing piece of work - like a still from the show!
ReplyDeleteMost impressive!
ReplyDeleteThanks people, much appreciated. I've got lots of photos of it under construction, I could pick out a few if people are interested?
ReplyDeleteIn answer to the question, any car body filler would do and yes, I should wear a mask when using it (and sometimes I do!).
Beautiful Kevin! C21 will be ringing you within the week!
ReplyDeleteCor! Wish I could do this. Would have the best Pleasure Cruiser ever if I could.
ReplyDeleteSuper stuff, Kevin!
What is the figure we can see in driving?
Thanks, the driver is a Seaquest DSV figure, (Roy Scheider, I believe!).
