End Credits

Just been watching an episode of Thunderbirds, Security Hazard. When I saw the end credits, where stills of the Thunderbirds craft rotate by 90 degrees, I got to thinking how might I achieve the same effect with pics of SWORD toys? Can it be done simply with something like Microsoft Movie Maker or even an simpler image application? Each toy would need 2 stills, the second one rotated I suppose.

  1. It would depend how smooth you wanted the rotation to be. Using 2 photos would result in an abrupt shift of 90 degrees ... jumping from one to the other.

Might be better if you used more than 2. (Of course, it's just 1 really, but I mean, more than 2 different angles).

Nice idea for a project, Mon Capitan.

  2. I'm not using a PC, so I can't answer the Microsoft Movie Maker question. I made a lil movie years and years ago using an Adobe application.

But I am sure you will find umpteen free stop motion movie applications out there on t'net.

  3. If you've got Paint Shop Pro, you could use the Animation Shop part and create an animated gif. Just use a gif image of the Sword toy, in PSP rotate it (Image - Rotate), and save it as another gif. Create a few gifs to smoothly rotate it 90 degrees (say 9 gifs at 10 degrees at a time). Then in the animation shop part just use the gifs in order and save as animated gif.
