Toys, Camera, Action!

As a welcome change from my hurried, static photos of various models taken in the kitchen, Mike B has supplied me with some dynamic shots of his Corgi collection. Master modeller Mike has set up some classic TV related models in special dioramas to show them to great effect!

  1. Wow! I like all the photos, but most especially the one with the Batmobile. The angle has caught the way the television series did it. I can hear those turbines as it's just taken one of those sharp corner-turns! Wonderful, Mike.

But how did you do the Angel in the bottom photo?

Sorry, can't stay. Have to rush to the Toadmobile .... no, it's not a car ... it erm, washes clothes. OK, so it's a washing machine, OK? (grins)

  2. Doh! I've just realised ... there was no Dinky Angel craft, was there? Sigh. I am getting stupid(er).

  3. Toad, thanks for the comments. The photos were fun to do.

To answer your question about the Angel , its all done with wires thanks to the wife who I roped in to do a Christine Glanville impression.

All the toys are Corgi including the Angel which came out around 2006 as part of the Scarlet set. So you're not stupid(er) you just got the make mixed up.; )

  4. Yes, I bet they were fun, Mike. I see you did that subtle glow on the headlights of the Saint's car too! I do like that.

Had no idea about the Corgi Angel. I did have a vague idea there was one of the New Captain Scarlet planes, but not the classic version. Nice to know.

(And how lucky to have a wife who will help ... wonder how many of the guys here wish their's would? *smiles*)

One more question though ... I can't work out if the buildings in the photos are 3-D or clever use of backdrops. Which is it, please?
