  3. You are getting a bit too good with that Photoshop - or whatever it is!!! Fantastic...how do you do the blister?

  4. That why i had a nother crack at it - the blister is the tough bit. This is basically a special layer with an embossed shape, made transparent and then touched up to accentuate the highlights and shadows. Not brilliant yet, but getting there.

and yes its Photoshop CS5 - dont leave mars base without it!

  5. Not brilliant? Are you joking? It's only the context that alerted me. I would have been fooled good and proper if I was new to this hobby!

If this is "not brilliant" I can't wait to see your Photoshoppery-to-come, and which you do think is brilliant!

  6. I've had a machromedia suite on the PC for ages and keep meaning to learn the Tutorials...I'll have to have a go now!!!

  7. Ideally, it would be indistinguishable from a real plastic blister. I'd probably have to render it in 3D to get the realism, but this is a bit of fun!

But i would encourage anyone to have a go of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements if you can, its brilliant!

  8. Aaw, now your'e just showin' off Wote! Beautiful though. Tarheel Task Force rockets are blister carded so carded Scouts aren't that far fetched at all. Maybe next Could you blister up something much bigger like a Moon Ranger perhaps? PS. There's a lovely complete Scout 3 on fleabay at the mo.

  10. Being a newbie I could be fooled. But I am impressed by the many great cards and boxes people are doing for toys. Some are trying to trick extra money out of people, but most are having fun and entertaining their friends. And some are creative and go beyond what was made. Like the Alien Blogmeister card, for example. (Why didn't he come with an astronaut? Or maybe he was too big...he looks the size of a Mr. Potato Head toy, LOL)

    Great stuff!
