Fair Comment

Anyone been to any good toy fairs of late? I used to love going but have have stopped for some reason. Not sure why. Big fairs were always exciting like Doncaster, Castle Donnington and the NEC Memorabilia [when Henry Cook ran it] but I did also enjoy small Sunday and evening fairs in community halls like Elsecar, Pudsey and Normanton. Do they still exist in the UK or beyond?

  1. They hold regular ones at the Northgate Arena in Chester, roughly every two months, a lot of railway stuff, but lots of other stuff too. I usually go, but seldom buy!

  2. Harrogate. One of the dealers had all the JR21 and Dinky Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90, original Corgi Batmobiles. Very expensive but great to see them.
Old model kits (lots of old Airfix, bagged etc), diecast Matchbox, Dinky etc. Lots of model railway stuff too.
I bought a book on the history of Frog model kits.
