I keep coming across these TootsieToy space toys. I can't help thinking that the two vehicles were influenced by the Moon Bus in Kubrick's 2001 Space Odyssey. Anyone know if I'm right?
The resemblance is striking. Funnily enough, just last night I was thinking about the lack of commercial replicas of the various 2001 craft. Yes, there are the Moon Bus and Orion Clipper model kits, but few other than that. And then you post this!
