Sean has kindly sent another pic of Bagnalls model shop from 1964. No Thunderbirds this time but fascinating anyway. Bagnalls was [and is] in Stafford, England.
I live not too far from Stafford and a trip to Bagnalls was always a treat just to look in wonder at all the stuff they stocked. I can remember the shop exactly as it was in the pictures. Last thing I bought from there was the big Pocher kit of the Ferrari Testarossa, some years ago. I remember it was £108!!!
Hi, Unfortunately Bagnalls models shut it's doors for the last time a few years ago. I worked there from 1970 for some 17 years, the windows were a highlight for Stafford children, especially at Christmas.

ReplyDeleteNow that's a proper toyshop. Not many (if any) like that these days.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it is a proper toyshop. I just want to be let loose in there to play!
ReplyDeleteWhat does it look like nowadays?
