Moonbase 3 is one of those surprisingly underrated series. It's "real" space, and character driven. The final episode is particularly chilling. Not in Woodsy's horror-movie sense, but because those on the Moonbase face being the last surviving humans after an experiment on Earth goes disasterously wrong.
It also has the humorous and thought provoking suggestion of what Humankind's last words might be .... "What does this button do?"
