  1. Great band. I've got a music paper cutting of them somewhere in a scrapbook I did back in the early Seventies full of Medicine Head, Groundhogs, J.Geils Band and more greats. What is a Horslip? A horse lip?

  2. Said out loud it sounds like "an undergarment worn by a lady of pleasure" (sorry :) but I think it may actually be a pun on cowslip which is some kind of wild flower, and perhaps more fitting for an all-male folk band?

  3. The name originated from a spoonerism on The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse which became "The Four Poxmen on The Horslypse".The band shortened the name to Horslypse and finally Horslips.

But, hey, you all probably knew that anyway. ;D

Great song though, thank's for posting.
