T IN A CIRCLE AMPHIBIOUS CAR: COLOUR VARIATION

Further to the earlier piece on Ferryman's T Amphibious Car and based on a heads-up from Arto, I have searched previous sales on Liveauctioneers for more and was amazed to find three! Above is the first and at a nice angle - but the best is yet to come.

There's a blue version too! Yippee!

The Luxury Yacht, featured earlier, came in two different types rather than colours and as such had two different model numbers. It's unlikely but I wonder if there is a blue version box with the model number 368?

Wonderful and thanks Arto!

  2. Anyone else remember the sixties kids program "Orlando" when Sam Kidd drove one of these across a harbour during each episodes opening credits ?

Or am I getting delusional again ?

  3. I know what the program is, but sadly have not seen it. I'd love to see it now.

Have you looked for the opening titles on YouTube?

  4. I did just now , and no luck .

The national film Libary has four episodes though . Disapointing for a series that ran weekly for three years .

I do remember seeing a real amphicar regulary when I was a wee nipper . never in the water though .

  5. That's a pity, Velbor. I was hoping to see it. :(

I wonder how much of it exists ... let's hope it's more than only four episodes! If a substantial number are still available, it is possible Network might release it. They've been doing some marvellous DVD releases.

    If that's any help ...

IIRC the one in the opening credits bobbed along at a reasonable pace !
