Whilst contemplating my 1960's mystery miniature planes I've remembered how much I liked Britains toys. Those metal bases were way cool. The two sets I remember most clearly are the Police Rider (I remember a different box though) and the little Mortar diorama, both pictured below. Seems like yesterday. Anyone else have any favourite Britains?

Oh yeah I had that mortar set but my favorite was the Speedway bikes as speedway was very popular in Glasgow (my Mum & Dad were Glasgow Tigers fans when I was a kid) mind you Woodsy, given your love of the martial arts I would have figured you'd have had the Britains Karate figures (I did!)
ReplyDeleteone of my favourites was the Kettenkraftrad - halftrack/motorbike and the Kubelwagen. My very special favourite was the Bandetta Elastic Band Gun though!
