TARHEEL SUPER COPTER IN THE REPAIRS HANGER

The workbench has temporarily moved downstairs as my attic is just too arctic even with my trusty convector heater on full blast! On said workbench my current project is trying to get the motor working on my newly acquired and boxed TARHEEL SUPER COPTER pictured above. The body is in great shape and everything's there (a few parts are out of camera shot) but it just won't work. I've taken the whole thing apart, superglued some plastic mounts, re-soldered some wires and inserted new batteries but all I've managed to do is get the two rotor lights working! I never was very good at this! They should also rotate along with what I imagine to be a spectacular illuminated nose gun array that pops out whilst the chopper theoretically bumps and go's around the floor. There's obviously something important I'm not doing! Any suggestions?

  1. YES! That'll be two figures identified! I used to think "who made a factory painted SAS landrover in Tudor Rose colored plastic?" Well, now I know they're helicopter pilots with pillow-cases on their heads!
