Hi Derek, the Zero X [aka OX or ZX] was the guest star craft in the 1966 movie Thunderbirds Are Go. It was designed by Derek Meddings. It also had a long running comic strip in TV21 in the Sixties. The craft was capable of space travel especially Mars. The vehicle was made into a toy in 1967 by Century 21 Toys as part of their Project SWORD range - the one pictured here. The Zero X is immensely popular with Gerry Anderson fans.
For the record, I saw the SWORD moonbase toy around 1970 in an English shop.
ReplyDeleteAB.
AB! Where? and what did it look like? Please please tell us. This is the first 'sighting' I have ever come across!
ReplyDeleteHi, could anyone tell me something about that Zero-X? It looks awesome.
