Our man with his eye on all things oriental spotted a second copy of the infamous Probe Force 1 kit at auction in Japan last night. Unfortunately, the inscrutable model collectors in the land of the rising price waited until the dying seconds befor rocketing the price and snatching the prize at over sixty pounds. Still, it does give us clear glimpse at the toy itself and the box contents!
Nice one Terry!
I want one, I want one, I want one!
ReplyDeleteLike so many Japanese plastic kits from the 1960s this seems to be a toy in CKD form. Lovely boxart though.

What does CKD mean?
ReplyDeleteI want one too. Why have we never had such a diversity of marvellous kits in this country?
CKD = complete knockdown

Don't know where Mr Toad is based, but if he's in the UK, I agree our home-grown kit manufacturers have shown a distinct lack of imagination.
6,000 Spitfires and counting ...

Yes, UK. I do, I really do like authentic military model kits, but it would be nice if we also had fantasy kits like the Japanese have.
