KELLOGGS SUGAR PUFFS MOONSHOT SLIDES OF THE 1960's/70's BY THE PHILOSOPHIC TOAD

I haven't seen an advertisement for these... Sugar Puffs slides (Ed); they aren't listed in CLUCK (not the one I have, anyway); can't even be certain which year they appeared. Some of the smaller manufacturers (smaller in comparison with Kellogg's that is, who had the lion's share of the market) didn't always advertise their promotions in comics; or did so in only one comic rather than a range of them. As examples, I have still to find an ad. for the (Shredded Wheat) Warriors of the World or the (Shreddies) Aristocats figures. Just about the only Kellogg's promotion which I am certain existed but for which I have yet to find an advertisement is that very Robin Hood set I mentioned; apart from that, Kellogg's ads. abound. It may be that there just isn't one for these slides, which makes the finding of information less likely. My guess at this point is that there were six slides in total, six being the most common number of premiums in a set:

1. Rocket Launch (top photo)
2. Separation (middle photo)
3. ??? Orbiting the moon, perhaps? Or maybe even moon landing?
4. Mooncraft Rejoins Rocket (bottom photo)
5. ??? Re-entry?
6. ??? Splashdown?

But this is all just speculation!

Has anybody got any further information about these slides?

I'd like to thank Steve of Vintage Thunderbirds Toys for donating these slides to the blog and the Philosophic Toad for scanning and researching them. The artwork is beautiful, reminds me of Bob McCall's style?
