Hello Paul,
There pictures attached of a Tarheel ship which I purchased from Hong Kong via Ebay. I don't have a box for this one but it is marked underneath with the T symbol. It bears more than a passing resemblance to the Sword Moonbus sharing a similar cockpit dome, radar dome and rear engines. It is also features bump and go motion. Sadly it is a little sun faded/yellowed. Have you seen this before?
Ferryman
Certainly haven't Ferryman! It's a new one on me and the blog. Thanks for sharing with us. Joe Morabito of Main Street Toys USA says "On that great toy you pictured, I had one years ago in that color. It was in the same box the "standard" Moonbus came in - which I think was red/blue".
The question still remains whether it came before the T Moonbus and more interestingly the Century 21 Moonbus. Given the T in a Circle Logo on the Moonbus featured on the SOLO Identification Guide posted earlier in the summer I'm coming round to the notion that T in a Circle is the original source of some SWORD toys i.e. said Moonbus, Moon Prospector and maybe more.
