What I find interesting on this one Paul is how previously kids needed to be as 'fit' or as 'tough' as a Super-Hero or Sports star. In the 1970s similar ads gave young men the chance to be as tough as a 'Kung Fu Master' but during the latter part of the 1960s with the Space Race in full swing Astronauts were perceived as the pinnacle of strength, fitness, endurance and bravery.
