I've recently been immersing myself in TV21 comic strips I've aquired in 1980's Action 21 comics and Thunderbirds In Space from the 1990's. There's a whole armada of huge futuristic ships not least of which is the fabulous Submarine Aircraft Carrier (more to come on this during September) and the majestic PRESIDENT atomic ocean liner. Short of finding these comic creations (well we know about the Sub Aircraft Carrier but surely there's no President toy!), I have found some other cool and sometimes nuclear vessels online, mostly Ebay.
OMG! I had the Telsalda Ferry Boat as a nipper, I never thought I'd see a picture of one again!
ReplyDeleteGlad we could oblige McTodd! Always like reuniting old friends! Once the Telsada Ferry was wound up what did it do?
ReplyDeleteOops, long delay replying...!
ReplyDeleteWhat did it do? Not a lot, to be honest. You could set the rudder and make it sail around in circles in the bath. The bow and stern had pivoted 'walls' which you could raise up and down to let the 'train' (which was a single plastic moulding) drive on and off (by hand, of course!).
It looks like the aircraft carrier has the same basic hull with just the top deck being a totally different moulding.
