NOVA BY UNIPLAST

I always loved the sleek lines of the Spacex NOVA and lo and behold here it is on the backing card of this Argentinian UNIPLAST toy rocket on Ebay USA. The description says it was made in the 1940's/50's but I'd have thought the 1960's were more likely.

    you're right, that must be a 60s toy, not 50s.
    The illustration on that Uniplast card is a straight copy of the Valigursky illustration of the Nova Rocket in the Man and Space book. http://projectswordtoys.blogspot.com/2009/02/nova-origin-by-paul-vreede.html
    That was published 1962, so that card can't be earlier than that. :)
