INVESTIGATOR DIE-CAST

Picked up these Investigator die-casts at the local Car Boot. In no way complete, I still like the basic designs, which have that clear Andercized look. I don't know the Investigator at all, either as a strip or TV show. Wonder if these two vehicles actually appeared?

Hi! I just recently found your site which is a joy because I've been looking for a Project Sword site for ages and to see golden astronauts is the icing on the cake. Anyway, the Investigator was an unscreened Supermarionation pilot from 1973 and Corgi were in on the ground floor with die-casts. When the pilot was unaired, Corgi released the vehicles in their present schemes without the connection to the series. Hope this is useful, much more info is in 'The Complete Gerry Anderson' by Chris Bentley. keep up the good work!

  3. Nice one Spectrum Steve and I see what you mean RAB! strange miniaturised puppets. But I love the red armoured command vehicle. Looks far more like a sports car on screen! And the Coast Guard Missile Launcher popped up in tne credits. Do you know how to grab stills of these vehicles off You Tube?
