I read that price as $2.99. According to the inflation calculator here, $2.99 in 1967 would be about $19.11 today. I'm not sure if that's entirely accurate. For comparison, a ticket to see Thunderbirds Are Go in an American cinema in 1967 would have been one dollar. (And yes, that was one of the happiest days of my life...)
Hey RAB, I'd pay $19.11! I know what you mean about happy times in the cinema - a particular highlight for me was getting into Enter the Dragon when I was 13. It was an X, which was the 18 rating in 1973! I had to wear platform boots and grow a moustache ( more like bumfluff)and pretend to smake a fag to pull it off! I was hooked on Kung Fu for years after that. Great times!
