The whole sword and sandals thing passed me by really apart from the odd film like Conan. I had no idea that there were so many fantasy figures and sets for sale in the eighties. I do now!WOODSYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456645970983569001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156181044707591026.post-33392843948277229802016-09-12T21:35:55.202+01:002016-09-12T21:35:55.202+01:00The Archers weren't in sealed bags, they were s...The Archers weren't in sealed bags, they were someone's toys stuffed in clear plastic storage bags. They must have really loved spacemen, because there was about 20 per bag, mixed with other brands like Marx.Hing Fat is the company who makes those aliens with the holes. They are part of a wild looking batch of colorful "monsters" that pop up every now and again. You can see them at a site called Fantasy Toy Soldiers.Briannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156181044707591026.post-75653135609482363532016-09-12T19:10:23.231+01:002016-09-12T19:10:23.231+01:00Great info Hugh! Sigh!

Hing Fat were a rack-toy 'brand' who florished about 15/20 years ago, they marked their header-cards...a bit like LP. although there two or three logos over time. But they were actually copies of copies if you know what I mean, Hing Fat's astronauts are a tad smaller than the 'others' that turn-up, same with the Marty Toys Space Fantasy sets etc...I think? They copied Dino's and Army men too...the smoother thick-based MPC 54mm NASA type copies are Hing Fat as well!

HHugh Walterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10689023221814673819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156181044707591026.post-87039787098309731992016-09-12T16:00:36.489+01:002016-09-12T16:00:36.489+01:00Never seen those holed aliens before Brian. I suppose they were used as cake decorations back then so maybe craft shops got them in large bags?WOODSYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456645970983569001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156181044707591026.post-17707691738578474362016-09-12T15:57:15.134+01:002016-09-12T15:57:15.134+01:00Yep, I see them too now Bill.
