Very simple retro lettering, Although I also recall Anglia TV having a Knight on Horseback symbol just before a wildlife programme called Survival came on. I used to love that show.WOODSYhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456645970983569001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156181044707591026.post-63578593447132260372015-05-06T06:37:09.626+01:002015-05-06T06:37:09.626+01:00Strangely enough, the Lincoln Continental hood orn...Strangely enough, the Lincoln Continental hood ornament always made me think of the early ITC logo:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWzMNOTK-HURichardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01714171897239398438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156181044707591026.post-18062499779066229872015-05-05T15:39:06.152+01:002015-05-05T15:39:06.152+01:00Very interesting Zubie. Even though very much outside the mainstream before the war, the hard edge focus on planes of color and line as well as the minimalist style and the usage of new techniques such as photo-montage and collages are adopted by many postwar commercial artists. Typical artists you can reference are Mondrian, Miro, Duchamp, Man Ray, and Picasso. In many ways it is still with us today as much of that "Apple" design style follows this modernist style.Zubiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17931010091075836036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2156181044707591026.post-12575128366518336452015-05-04T08:40:21.619+01:002015-05-04T08:40:21.619+01:00I wonder how we would represent it nowadays Kev? Those old graphics were still there and the machines had brand names like Olympus and Excelsior. Except they're not really!KevinDnoreply@blogger.com
