As for those ink wells, I used to sit at the desk and pull out whatever was stuffed in them - usually a mixture of chewing gum and photostatted letters home all screwed up! I remember enjoying drop...Plastic figures Woodsy... I remember enjoying dropping my Bugsy Backbone and Miss Venus down the redundant ink well of my school desk sometime back in the early 70s. Bugsy and Venus were Crater Critters... quirky little plastic aliens found inside boxes of Kellogg's breakfast cereal.
