Here's the original Century 21 Toys Project SWORD Booster Rocket from 1967.
It was battery operated with mystery action.
The blue fuel tanks all detached.
The large coffin box is illustrated with a rendition of Ed Valigursky's LIFE painting. The box included a paper SWORD manual and a plastic pin badge.
The rear red exhaust bell lit up and the silver exhaust rod detached.
The front miniature space plane was spring loaded and could be ejected, a very neat feature of this impressive toy, one of the larger ships on the SWORD toy fleet.

Yes, I have one, although it's a big model and takes up a lot of shelf space when I take it out of its box. Fantastic play value with all the "working" parts.

One of the finest and most iconic ships from SWORD. Took me ages to get one as a kid, as they were expensive. I absolutely loved it, but because it is quite unwieldy, it soon became damaged. Still got it, along with a new version and the elusive orange Hover variant and the wonderful sub scale Spacex model. There was a garage kit of the Booster Rocket available a few years ago, somewhat larger and made from 3d printed parts. Bill

DeleteYep, I've got one. As a kid, I only had 2 SWORD toys, the Booster Rocket and Probe Force 3.
