Whilst holidaying on the Yorkshire Dales this weekend I invested in this boxed Airfix German Half Track from 1975.
Is it a kit you know?
There's lots there with parts still on bags.
The main body has been built.
The box contained lots of hard plastic soldiers including Rommel.
There were instructions and transfers too.
A nice find as was seeing the neat open rear Dales bus in lovely Reeth.
What a great looking vehicle. Have you open top buses where you are?
There are open topped buses doing tours around Chester. Thoughtful of the Romans that.

DeleteThat Half Track was a great find. Looks like it contains at least part of one of the Multipose figure sets from around the same period.
ReplyDeleteThat bus also looks nice, but I would not fancy riding around in an open-topped vehicle in Auckland at the moment, as it is winter here.
Yes, there's quite a few of those solid plastic German troops Paul. I've not seen that type before.
DeleteOh yes! That kit is definitely one I know, I had it as a kid! If I get to do the North African chapter of my puppet film, you will see my heroine in her Spitfire buzzing that very vehicle!

DeleteI need five puppets to film the FIRST scene! I'm on the later stages of Winslow Churcher as we speak. Currently working on collars and ties for him, Mr Hister and an SS General... I really hope to be ready to film in a month or so. 🤣

DeleteThat Airfix German Half-Track is a cracking find. I never had this kit, but I remember it from the Airfix Catalogues which were a regular feature during my '70s childhood. Looking forward to seeing the finished result after you've applied your modelling skills, Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I have no skills Tone and it's an investment really. Oddly enough I've just picked up some catalogues from 1977. Hornby though, not Airfix.
DeleteWoodsy, we've got open top buses run by tour companies here in Vegas as well as double-decker buses that run on the normal city transit routes.
