Not sure I would have seen this in 1977. I was 16 and Heavy Metal Kung Fu mad. Besides, our family had stuff going on that year, but you may have seen this segment.
I remember this from one of the two BP books I had. It's either in the "Make, Cook, & Look Book" or the 15th Blue Peter Annual (the one with everyone dressed up as trapeze artists). I'm pretty sure the annual also included an Action Man bobsleigh and Playmobil (Play People, as we called them then) medieval jousting playset. Good stuff! (Although I would have turned my nose up at it, at the time.)
How cool. I'd never thought of looking in BP annuals for toys like Action Man. I wonder what else is in there David. And yes, Play People. I think they were Marx weren't they?
Blue Peter was another popular British show that never made it to New Zealand. However, I did see that Quartermaster Store build on You Tube some time ago.
