  1. Cool to see you got an original Pippi Langstrumpf puzzle, with the lovely Inger Nillson! SFZ

    1. Yes, got it in a charity shop in Marburg SF. Could just about slot it into my rucksack.

  2. I remember getting the board game "Waterloo", must have been about 10 years old. I loved the look of it, with its two territory boards and little abstract plastic troops and generals. Don't think I ever played a proper game of it though, it was rather complicated as I remember (quite a lot of rules in a good sized instruction booklet) and my sister, who I often pestered to play games couldn't have been more uninterested in it if she had tried! :) Loved the box, though!

    1. I think I'm like your Sis Ed, I get bored playing board games. But, I love them as artefacts and have collected them for years. I don't recall Waterloo but I got it as it looked old and interesting. I've yet to properly look through it.

  3. Was just looking it up on Google, I thought there was something not quite right...the version of the game I had was called "Campaign", not "Waterloo".

    1. Yes, I know what you mean Ed. Campaign has drums on the cover doesn't it?

    2. Just looked the "Campaign" box up on Google, Woodsy, looks exactly the same as the "Waterloo" box in the picture. WIsh I still had it and have absolutely no idea what happened to it which is a bit unusual for me as remember what happened to most of my toys and games...my "Headache" for example, got played with so much the dice popper thing split and we threw it out...similar with our Mad Marbles set!

  4. Great to see that Pippi Långstrump puzzle, the tv series was as fond watch as a child along with Emil of Lönneberga, another Astrid Lindgren classic.

    1. Yes, it's a gorgeous box and I adore the colour photo art Arto. I don't know Lönneberga but I'll look it up. The Missus is reading a novel about Astrid Lundgren by Susanne Lieder.
