Deep Purple Piles

My good friend Paul V has covered this in detail on his fab SpaceX toys site, but I thought it's interesting to see again the auction bundle a strange metallic purple Nova appeared in, as seen here deep in the middle.

Such a gorgeous little thing. It always amazes me the piles of stuff SpaceX and it's kin turns up in and often it's Apollo Space Exploring piles like this.

There's a few extras here too, a silver missile, a grey Enola, a TB3 knockoff and even a sleeping Captain America!

Do you have piles like this?

  1. Nova knock-off here in better detail:

I was amused to see a 'life-size' Matt Mason "USA-1" sticker combined with the miniature MMM copies by LP.

    1. Ta for the link Paul. I wondered what that USA -1 sticker was. Did you manage to bag this lot?

  2. Not me Woodsy. I've been trying to remember where I got my example of that rocket from but it remains lost in the fog between my ears. Some guy in America but the how & what escapes me.

  3. Well there will have been a couple thousand at least at one point. No idea what a minimum production run would've been at the time but moulds cost a bit so you'd like to get your money's worth. If one would turn up in packaging of some kind then that'd be good to see.
