Bandairson!

These Japanese Bandais licensed by Century 21 are the business. I love the plasticcy look of them especially this SPV.

I'm unsure if I've seen them in the flesh. Have you?

  1. Those are gorgeous, never seen them before. Captain Scarlet was a goldmine of brilliant vehicle designs, alas the last Century 21 series to offer same- it was all downhill from there! SFZ

    1. Ha ha, the originals are always the best SF!

  2. All four of these toys have a friction motor. On the toy Spectrum Passenger Jet the front canard wings are moulded incorrectly in reverse. Identical copies of these toys were produced by a company with a MS logo (any ideas). They appeared in a range of colours but without the friction motor.

  3. Those pics are wonderful! I had images of the box art, but not the contents.
I was drifting around eBay recently and I saw an offer of a Japanese Captain Scarlet medal with the header card and full set of twelve medals. It was a bit pricey, so I scrolled on...
A short while later I got an offer for 50% off and I pounced on it.
After I'd hit Buy, a small voice in the back of my head told me to look at the fine print. Sure enough, hidden in the text was a casual mention that the purchase was for only one medal, no card!
I instantly demanded a refund squawking I'd been misled.
The seller quickly refunded me, which was just as well. The ill will generated by the dodgey advertising would have led to an extremely nasty Feedback review!
