Remember Mr. Jinks and Pixie and Dixie?

Hi Woodsy.

Still clearing! Found this. Only vaguely remember this cartoon.

You?

  1. They were the worst element of the The Huckleberry Hound Show. A poor copy of Tom & Jerry cartoons.

  2. What a great find! I do recall Pixie & Dixie, a more kid-friendly version of Tom + Jerry. Early Hanna-Barbera toons were terrific - The Huckleberry Hound Show was a real "event" to many of us Boomers. Also Quick Draw McGraw, Ruff "n Reddy, and of course, Top Cat! Long live early Hanna-Barbera! SFZ

  3. Top Cat was a wonderful version of The Phil Silvers, Sgt Bilko series. The fun part was the BBC changed the name to Boss Cat as Top Cat was a pet food brand. The change actually improved sales of the brand by giving it free publicity.

    1. Do you know, as a kid I never made the connection between Top Cat and Sgt Bilko? Now I see it clearly. SFZ

I vaguely remember Pixie and Dixie, and the catchphrase "I hate those meeses to pieces", but not Jinx the cat!
    Lovely find though.

Another wonderful cartoon from the 1960s, which I loved. I do not think I had anything related to Pixie and Dixie, and Mr Jinx - perhaps a comic or two ?
