Is Your eBay Selling Slow?

My eBay sales are agonisingly slow this month. From a steady stream of bids on my vintage stuff in March to virtually nothing now. It's noticeable.

Is anyone else experiencing a slowdown, either on eBay or another site or standing or attending toy fairs?

Are you putting off vintage purchases now too?

  1. eBay is dead here in the US - buyers have left in droves, both because of the infestation of cheap Chinese products, and the fact that most eBay listings now are actually being drop-shipped from Amazon, with all of the hassle that entails. Frankly, I'm surprised they are even around any longer. SFZ

    1. Really SF? I'm amazed. Ebay is an American icon isn't it? How do vintage collectors get their stuff now? And what does drop-shipped mean?

  2. I had a whole bunch of stuff for sale on fleaBay and only sold one item since before the pandemic! Some months back I deleted all my listings. To heck with it, I'll take all my junk to the grave with me! LOL

  3. Nearly three quarters of what i had to offer over the last 3 months went to overseas buyers
and i had to drop prices dramatically in order to sell.A lot of good stuff went for next to nothing.Although the posting system is a lot easier no one seems to have the disposable
income they once had to buy anymore.

  4. I almost never buy anything on eBay from America, because of the absurd Shipping costs from the US...

  6. I have one item on order from China, when it arrives it will be the last time I bother with eBay.
Yesterday I took my listings down. It's just too expensive to deal with mailing costs on purchases in the US with eBay taking a cut of everything.
