A Face Only A Mother Could Love!

Ed's comment about the robot car made me chuckle and as it's Mother's Day here in the UK it reminded me of two other faces.

This is Hammer's monster from the film The Reptile, 1966.

And here's the face of a creature from James Cameron's recent Avatar sequel.

The same mother?

PS. I love the Reptile!

  1. I'm also a fan of the 1966 move, The Reptile, Woodsy. Wish we could've seen Jacqueline Pearce in more period British horrors.

  3. 'The Reptile' looks a bit cheap, and is a lesser quality Hammer movie.
'Avatar' looks amazing, but is a lesser movie still !

    1. I love any Hammer I saw as a kid Mish. There's loads they made I haven't seen tho. As for Avatar, I saw the first one, admitted the virtuosity but it has no sway over me, unlike the Hammers of my youth. I guess that's nostalgia.
