aha - good to see the Nomura catalogue and the little red crawler at bottom left. I picked up one of these beauties last year, as its the basis for the Lincoln Sparking Moon Crawler toy. I'd love the little blue space station just above it too. Bill

Wow wow wow! A goldmine of beautiful toys! Those catalogs from '69 and '70 are my favorites, as they contain all of the groovy saucers and spaceships. Robots seemed to predominate in the 1980s, yes? You can also see the switchover from tin to plastic during this era. Fascinating glimpse at the lost golden age... SFZ
I noticed that change too. Somehow the robots feel better in tin! By '77 was the boom in robot Anime was well underway, with licensed robot characters in ascendance. These generic non anime designs would have been popular for the export market. Catering to kids who hadn't seen the native Japanese shows!

Robots, tin or plastic, I like both to be honest. Mostly plastic at outdoor sales here.
