Having enjoyed the TV show as a kid, When I first saw the big IDEAL Beverly Hillbillies plastic car I've was in awe and still am.
It's just so darn good looking!

I've never seen one in the flesh, these images were online, but it looks a e with all the characters and paraphernalia. Talk about fantastic plastic!

That is a wonderful toy. As I watched the show in the 1960s, and later whenever it was repeated, I would have loved that toy. The truck appeared in many episodes, and was seen in the opening credits, as the Clampett family arrived in Beverley Hills.
ReplyDeleteThere was also a Beverley Hillbillies Television Truck kit by MPC. Which has recently been re-issued. No idea what the build quality is like.
