Arto's Laramie Cowboy Set

Arto over at Helsinki Base picked up a pristine example of this Laramie toy gun and holster boxed set.

By Crescent, (and not Larami!)  it's got everything a young cowpoke would need on the range.

Do you think this set is TV related or a generic item?

The pics are from the Tradera site.

  1. I recognize the holster from around 1960, not the packaging. It was probably an unlicensed item associated with the popular TV show then on the air. Luckily for Crescent, Laramie was a western US city and the packaging was generic rather than an actual character from the show.

  2. I remember having this as a kid. Although I don't remember the name on the holster. I even have a photo somewhere of me with it, wearing a cowboy hat -taken by my Dad. Don't ask me to find it!

    1. You are quite right there Ed, me being more of a Space Age generation. Still, as with Meccano, any old MIB toy and I'm sold!

  4. American TV show. 1959-63. I have watched a few episodes but can't remember much about it.

  5. I adored cowboys and their toy guns as a kid. The hat, the breeches, the spurs and the waistcoat. I remember getting dressed up like that, finished off with a sheriffs badge!
