S T A R C O N D O R

I've been browsing Japanese language toy sites. The sheer breadth of incredible vehicle design is staggering.

I'll post a few that caught my eye, like this fabulous thing with Skyship 1 wheels.

I think the name says Starcondor.

What do you think?

  2. Another great Japanese design this time from the 1986 Japanese live action Super Sentai TV show " Supernova Flashman". Sentai means fighting squad or team. From 1993 these Super Sentai shows have been used for footage for the 'Power Rangers" franchise. The Super Sentai shows themselves have been around since 1975 with a new series each year so Flashman was' one that was never made into a Power Rangers show. The franchise will finally end in Japan with the last super sentai show in early 2026.

  3. Flashman was the first sentai I actually got a transformation device from. A simple single shot rocket and a flashbulb system, it opened up so you could talk into it like a dick Tracy watch. I went on to get many different devices from the following shows.
The sentai series is going on hiatus and being retooled to make it more cohesive with other shows. Outside of Gokaiger, most of the series were treated as being in their own universe so each new one had to start from scratch.
While that work is being done, as a replacement we are getting Metal Heroes once again with a darker tone, mechs and such. Project R.E.D is the name and first up is Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity.
