Being a fan of old film tech I was sorely tempted by this vintage Sony Betamax VCR I saw in Shipley.
Looking like something out of a space station it was huge too. The price of £100 was more than I could justify as well. I have very few Betamax tapes.
A gorgeous thing.
Do you like it? Have you any old tech like this?
A friend of mine had a Betamax machine in the 1990s - even then there were hardly any around, and you just never saw the tapes.
ReplyDeleteThat one looks more sophisticated than the average domestic one of the time. It says 'pro' on the label, I think it might be correct!

ReplyDeleteBetamax was technically superior to VHS, but Phillips were just a bit slow to get it to market. Bill
