Wow! International Airways By Technofix!

This tinplate treasure looks a bit special. I mean, Javol!

By Technofix of West Germany it's a real avionic wonder. The finish and box art are superb.

Anyone got one?

  1. Technofix was an amazing brand of clockwork tinplate toys, and I had several, including the legendary Alpine Express, and one of their roller coasters, but never the Airport. The best Technofix toys were the ones with the wind-up cars running along tin tracks, with that magnificent landscape lithography to gape at while the vehicles ran around. Truly a magical company. 2. Wow! I've never seen that before. What a wonderful toy, and that great box art with a wide vista from the control tower...
    Magnificent!
It almost inspires me to make a fake tin toy of a Mission control, with tin flight controllers and a rocket on the pad!

    2. I've given up on my fake tin toy endeavours since AI became a thing. There used to be a novelty to seeing a photograph of a toy that didn't exist, now it's the norm but without a shred of creativity involved.

I've moved on to other projects that depend on more obvious physical creation, like my puppet film.
