That looks like the Boeing SST, or Super Sonic Transport, although the fuselage is shorter. A rival to the Concorde, which was never built, but it did get as far as a mock-up. It had swing-wings, and engines mounted under the tailplanes, just as on the toy. Is the toy Atomic Powered ? The logo on the fin suggests it might be. Despite having never been built, there were plastic kits by Revell (recently re-issued by Atlantis), Monogram, Lindberg, and Nitto, all in different scales.
What a glorious toy, straight out of the Century 21 world! I wonder if it was based on a concept prototype, or complete fantasy? SFZ
ReplyDeleteI know SF. It's got Fireflash all over it!

Great info Paul. Thanks. There's a few SST toys too.
